Education & Outreach Director

Jeffrey Fleming is a sales and rental associate at Long and McQuade Waterloo as well as a full time musician with the Waterloo ensemble “Controversial Sharks.”

During his time and after graduating from Wilfird Laurier’s music faculty with a BMus (Honours) in composition/improvisation, Jeffrey began gigging regularity with several different bands and ensembles in town. Working with multiple instruments, genres and technical parts of the industry, he developed a belief in bringing new music forward to the community. His experiences taught him that opportunities should I be provided to everyone, young and old an that all musical people have a unique voice.

His diversified and fresh perspective of the music industry makes him the ideal go-to-person for the education and outreach programs provided by the Waterloo Jazz Festival.
